    Thanks All - for your comments. It is neat to see these sorts of trees in the desert! The light was lush but difficult to get around in that area!

    We used to camp in a wash that had Cottonwoods like that. Beautiful pics.

    I camped in a wash once; a storm came in fast and water rushed down that wash - we had to scramble out of there! :D

    Poolry worded - we camped about 30 feet above the wash, not down in it. We learned that the hard way too.:D
