#6 Please help me decide

I have these two versions of my entry:

Totem 1



and

Totem 2



I cannot decide which one to keep :scratch

I like #2 for what it is worth. Birds are more distinct.

I think either one is great. I like the background better in #2, but in #1, the totem isn't competing with the bakground, which makes its message clearer.

I prefer #1. As Emily says the background isn't competing with the main subject, plus for me the darker bg adds a moody feel to the image.

Love that Totem! I prefer the darker background in #1. It seems to fit the 'mood' of the totem better.

ditto with the above. the main focus is the totem, so #1 works the best for me. it's also more befitting of the Coast Salish environment and weather.
