Changing Web Address

Hey all. long story short, I did not think of putting smugmug on my business cards. I want to. However, I want them to read WJ Photography instead of 1downfall. Is there a way to change this on my account?

Hello!

Sure, you can definitely change the nickname on your account. When you're logged in click on the Control Panel button and select the Settings tab. Then, on the second line click on the "change" link. This will open the window that shows your first name, last name, nickname, and display name. Enter your new nickname here! Changing your nickname will change the address for your SmugMug site.

You should also mention that changing his nickname will break any existing links to shared pictures in his site. If he hasn't posted pics to other websites, this won't be a problem - but if he has...

Yes, it may break existing links as the old name will become available again to other users. You can't keep the old name.

Some links, like direct photo links may still work - it depends on the specific link.
