Thanks for the cool pic! I was about 25 miles away from Yosemite during last week's storm, but was snowed in (6" of snow, thin layer of ice, steep downhill driveway with sharp 90 degree turn at the bottom). Decided not to try the road to Yosemite given the conditions.

Your picture makes up for having not made it there myself (it's always better when somebody else does the work in the bitter cold). :D

Was that shot taken at the River View pullout (the last one on Northside Drive before Pohono Bridge - also the pullout with the sign showing the flood level about 11' above the parking surface)?

Very nicely done!!! Love the detail in the snow in the foreground as well as the still water and reflection. Beautiful!!!

Looks like Valley View to me. My eyes really don't leave the snowy, frozen log though.

    Beautiful colors.

Like the fg log but might crop some off the bottom as the lower right hand corner doesn't add much for me.

It would be during the last two weeks for Feb,

We have to have three things working for us,

    1. Enough snow on top of El Cap this winter to have enough run off in Feb
    2. Sunset ( have to have at least semi-clear sky )
    3. A little Luck to time it correctly.

I usually make a few trips up there, as we start getting close to see where things are at... I'll start a new thread when it gets a little closer.
