Being photographers, we know what having an image of our family or friends means to us. Many people around the world have never had a photograph of their loved ones. Geeti is an organization that aims to correct that.

Founded by a JPL engineer who was born in Iran, Geeti provides volunteers with the support needed to print photos of people around the world.

I thought it was a neat idea. If you agree, head over to the Geeti site and check it out for yourself. :deal

I've moved this to TBP since it's about the organization/idea, and not about a shot. It could also be interesting for other people who don't frequent the People forum much thumb.gif

Cool idea. This is the second time today something like this has been brought to my attention.

This was my friend's Facebook status this morning.

Here in Costa Rica took a picture of 3 little kids on the ranch then found out their mom had never had a picture of them so I made 4 4x6's and a 5x7 for her and framed it. You would have thought I gave her a million dollars. It made me feel good. Tomorrow I am taking a family picture for them.
