Photos overexposed after upload!

My photos look different after I upload them. If I view my photos in Lightroom or Photoshop next to the uploaded version in smugmug, the smugmug photos seem over exposed and there is also a color shift. What could be the problem????:huh Thanks for your help!!!

A friend had a very similar experience - she eventually tracked it back to a corrupted screen calibration. Apparently the Adobe rendering process makes use of your screen's colour profile and if this is wrong the resultant JPEGs are rendered incorrectly.

Make sure you are using sRGB color space. That's what everyone's browser is expecting (including your own).

I am using sRGB color space. I'm suspecting a color calibration problem. I have not calibrated my monitor before, (it is about 6 months old), but will try that next. Thank you both for your suggestions. Karen
