Taiko Drummers in Shibuya

Happened upon a summer festival in Shibuya last summer and there was a Taiko drumming troupe there playing while people hefted portable shrines behind them in the street. Had to climb up on a neighboring building's staircase to get any photos of them, but it gave a great unobstructed view of them:

    These are very cool. I like the high-contrast edgy feel to them. The energy and emotion on the face of the first one is amazing!

    Yeah, he was putting everything he had into every hit - amazing to watch, listen, and feel good drummers performing their art. Every hit has such power and emotion and I think it shows well in this picture.
