How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Great color
There are simply too many new cameras coming out for me to keep up! Looks like the lens is nice and sharp -- and quick?

I would advise lowering the in-camera sharpness, or don't sharpen so agressively, I see white outlines (halos) in the first shot.

Didn't know kangas slept in trees! You guys probably call them roos, right? But Kanga got picked up from my grandson's trying to pronounce kangaroo.

    Hi Dee,

The in camera sharpness was set on zero, I did sharpen edges in PS though, so that is where it was from.

a bit OT but your kid might like to know that kanga is slang in australia for poo.

    eg. kanga-roo = poo

    Ah....
    Hi Dee,

The in camera sharpness was set on zero, I did sharpen edges in PS though, so that is where it was from.
    Tim

I kinda thought so because I didn't notice any halos in the other shots.

I was an early adopter of the minus settings for in camera sharpening after I conducted my own test. When I told the forum I was visiting my decision I was told by a very popular member at the time that they did not agree with me, but time has proven my choice is the best way to go for greater post processing freedom.

I'm glad I stuck to my decision because that camera didn't have RAW and once those halos were there they were impossible to get rid of unless I wanted to spend hours in Photoshop trying to clone them out.

I hope one day to be able to visit Australia. My daughter and husband visited after their Antartica trip.

When I go to the chiropractor every other week, I make a detour to an Australian Products store and pick up a Yowie before visiting my daughter and grandson. My grandson eats the chocolate, I take pictures, and my daughter puts the toy together. The toy, it is clearly understood, is mine! :):
