What to wear for wedding reception

I'm shooting my first wedding reception and I'm not sure if I should wear a skirt or nice dress pants. It's your average reception as far as formality. I HATE wearing skirts when I'm trying to do something like photography, but i don't want to be underdressed either. Would nice dress slacks be ok?

    The last two weddings I attended were photographed by women. Both wore black slacks, one wore a black top, the other a white top. You'll be fine in nice dress pants (make sure they are comfy)... Welcome to dgrin!

    I agree with Dee.. nice pants or even a comfy little pant suit but definitely comfortable. Black is always a winner..don't forget to show us the shots:D
