I had a recent trip the Florida Keys and captured some these animals with a D300 and 70-300 VR.

1 Bald Eagle, not a great shot but it is great to see more and more eagles around the Gulf Sates.

Me swimming with the dolphins! Note: I didn't steal the pics, they were watermarked with the resort when I got the CD, just too lazy to remove them.

It was great. Something marked off my bucket list, or at least it will not be on the list if I actually write one down!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Looks like that eagle is sitting atop one of the only trees that survive the hurricanes down there :D

    Very sturdy platform!

I saw one other adult and I think a juvenile. The Keys are loaded with buzzards so it could have been one of those, but it had more of the silhouette of an eagle.

#6 is the one for me. I love how the colors pop, the egret stands out against the background, and the gently rippling water reflects the bird and foliage so well.
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"
