Predator @ the Playground...

So this predator (of stray breadcrumbs and popcorn) was about while I was watching the daughter at the playground in San Francisco. One of the few moments I have had with the camera.

Canon 5D MII with EF 20-200 f/2.8 IS USM lens @ 200mm, f/4.5, ISO400, 1/5000 sec.

    …and make no mistake, pigeons are amongst the smartest of the avians! Check out "Bird Brain" (film study of intelligence in birds, from around 1990s on PBS).

    Here's another link. In every study I've seen, pigeons come out pretty high on the intelligence scale (think homing pigeons, and adapting to urban settings), second only to the crows.
