I just happened across this video, ostensibly from a pre-production 1D Mark IV. I did not see any mentions of it here on dGrin, but if this is what it can do — I want one! http://vimeo.com/8324034

I shot one the other day (in a store ~ Canon was there) and was surprised how light it was compared to 1D's of the past. The rep said it was the lighter battery. It had a 24-105 mounted on it, which is a regular on my griped 5DMkII, and it felt about the same weight as the griped 5D2, albeit the 1D4 did feel better in my hand. YMMV

Rep stated when asked, that he felt like the 1D4 was about 1 1/2 stops better on high ISO performance over the 5D2. He stated that ISO 6400 was very clean. That was his personal opinion ~ and certainly has room for a pinch of salt there IMHO.

I gigged him about if it would focus. He cringed and stated that this was Canon's most tested camera ever!!!

    We'll see :D

    Not too shabby.eek7.gif

I can only imagine the day when 100k ISO is like today's 1600 or something.
