Earlier in the month I unexpectedly got to visit Antelope Canyon. Kind of hard shooting in such an iconic place! C&C always appreciated!

Thanks for looking,

WOW! What a fantastic eye on the composition. The B&W conversion, IMO, was the only way to go on this.....really great image! thumb.gif

    Excellent.

A good way to handle the off season (when sun is not right) shots of this place

Thanks for the kind compliments. Yes, the color wasn't that impressive and didn't add much to the image. B&W worked well with such a high contrast image.

    Thanks!

Great tones and contrast. Like kdog said, "Where's the rest"? Keep them coming. thumb.gif

Another great Antelope shot, there have been a few here lately, with the sun being so low in the sky, seems people are finding ways to get great shots out of Antelope that don't involve light rays. Great shot, and conversion.

That's true. I suspect the lower angle of the sun actually allows one to shoot wider into areas that would normally be blown out in the summer. Hmmm....

Also I was there on a weekday and we were allowed to just wander the canyon on our own (still have to pay the tour fee) and had parts of it to ourselves for longish spells. I'm guessing it is a mob scene in summer months.

I think the contrast probably is easier to deal with than summer, I really don't know this being my first time there. That said, this particular shot is a HDR merge as it was taken deep in a dark alcove looking out and the scene contrast was just insane.
