Death Valley Diversity

I thought I would share a newly processed image from Death Valley. One of my goals was to find new and unique views of Death Valley. The sky's were grey in the early am which allowed me time to scout for possible new locations. I found a great spot after the recent rains and then the sky's opened up. I was working this general composition which I felt was nice then for a few moments the sun lit up the mountains in the foreground which I think really completes the scene. What do you think?

Very nice! I've shot quite a bit there and you've definitely found a unique composition. The slash of sunlight is what really completes it. Beautifully done!

The sunlight definitely makes this, but the reflection of the sky is very nice too. clap.gif

Very cool, great shot and way to maximize the conditions.

Death Valley in rain and Yosemite in the snow are two things that are still on my list! :D

I love the fresh new approach to the salt flats. The clouds really help out here.

    Breathtaking work!

I made a request in a reply to another of your shots in this series for some gear and shooting info, and PP technique, and I double ask for that again here!:D
