Couple Pics from my trip to Puerto Rico
Hands down, P.R. was one of the most amazing places ive visited. Rent a car, with no intinerary and see all that P.R. has to offer. We spent 7 days there and covered the whole island.
We arrived in Aguadilla and ventrured first to La Playa Crashboat "Crash Boat Beach"
Loved the colorful boats ashore!
Crash boat was such a cool place! If you decide to go, go on an empty stomach. The locals prepare food right along the boardwalk there and is a great alternative to the chains in town.
Later that night, we ventured off to our first camping spot. Rio Camuy Caves in Camuy. A must see place if you decided to explore the island! This cave system is one of the two cave systems in the world that are atop a raging river. About 300ft below the cave, you can still hear the water racing through, although you cant see it, feeling it makes it more of an experience.
If you plan to shoot in the caves, I would reccomend at least a monopod. Light is sparse down there! I, of course, didnt go that prepared
The next day were were off to San Juan where we were happy to stumble upon an annual food festival!
Balcony from our 1 night stay at an awesone guesthouse!
Here are a few night shots taken in El Yunque National Rainforest. We arrived late and collected fallen palm for a fire. It just rained before we got there, so while the car was warm, I put the wet palm under the hood to dry it enough to burn.. This is what we did while waiting.
Our very own Puerto Rican Christmas while camping in El Yunque Rainforest
Night Photography really has me inspired lately.. Painting w/ light is awesome and the possibilities are endless.
La Mina falls in El Yunque was my first freshwater shower in days!
This is what happens when i get bored at night. We took these on the main island's NE coast (in Fajardo)sometime around midnight. We stayed up all night waiting to catch the 4am ferry to Culebra and decided this coast looked fun to shoot!
A must see road. Rt143 "Ruta Panoramica" Simply breathtaking!
My pics do it no justice!
Really cool stump outside of Mamacita's on PR's spanish virgin island "Culebra"
Some shot taken at the edge of the world. Cabo Rojo Lighthouse on the SW tip of the island.
I still have about a hundred or so more images to upload from the trip but you can see them here..

Beautiful place.
"Rio Camuy Caves in Camuy. A must see place if you decided to explore the island! This cave system is one of the two cave systems in the world that are atop a raging river."
Since a lot of caves are formed by the action of water coursing through the ground it is not at all uncommon for there to be a raging river below the cave as the river digs it's way deeper into the ground leaving a hollowed out section above it. I myself have been in more then a couple so to say there are only two in the world I'm afraid sounds like the guide was just trying to impress you. Still I enjoyed the pictures of the cave.
Those barstards! I guess theres only two others of its size in the world..
Those tour guides will tell you anything!
