Nah, more like he's been caught by a shotgun-wielding father -

But seriously, I like the set (esp the bottom lighthouse shot in #11) and don't see anything weird at all about them.

Great pics! 7 & 10 stand out for me. thumb.gif

I feel your pain, to an extent -

    752808553_6YrXi-S.jpg

That is my little sister in law. I keep the "in-law" part in for clarity, but being an only kid, it's the closest to a sister as I'm ever gunna get.

This is a shot from a play she was in her senior year of high school.... as a bride. I've know her since she was born - ~18 years ago. Touching up this photo of her in a wedding dress qualified as a mild trauma. eek7.gif

The real thing? Wow... you have my most sincere congratulatory sympathy! :D Two Johnny Walkers and 3hrs of meditation, then call me in the morning.

(However, having a big brother that is a willing to shoot her wedding and not throttle the groom is a wonderful thing. Good on ya!wings.gif)

Weird or not, they all turned out great. I think #7 is my fave. I also really like the mosaic; I wonder what it would look like in full color, or perhaps in some sort of sepia tone?

cj...I applaud you for really stretching out.....it's evident you not only have an eye but you try to capture more than just your subjects...you get in many varietal (great word huh?) vantage points to get a different stint on a scene..and that my friend is what sets you apart from the typical "hey, look, I shot some pictures" mentality. 1,5.6.8,10 are prime examples. Great for you and keep on!

My favorite is the very last small picture on the collage, in front of the lighthouse.
Yeah it must be kind of weird shooting for your sister, she should be happy with these.

Kres- Thanks for sharing, The wedding is in a month should be interesting.

WillCAD- 7 is her favorite as well, I may try another one in color. Thanks for the comments.

I.K.Madison- Thank you, I only wish I had more of a sky for #1, it was pretty crummy out.. The one with the sun is actually a flash, glad someone likes that one thought I was the only one!

Swatzy- Great feedback! Thank you, and your right "great" word, 10 points for you! I do sometimes get carried away with the extra stuff in photos though. Thanks for the words.

BradfordBenn- Thanks for checking them out!

Josh- #9's not the best for sure, but one of the only ones that featured him. Thanks!

ShiriJohnson- Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Hey Zoomer, yeah definitely wierd, Thanks heres that shot by itself.

Total noob, so take it with the proverbial grain, ...

Firstly I love the series, good creativity! (that you can take without the grain)

I love both of the two above and can see why you wanna go with the first, but, I'm not sure I like the pose of his right hand. Looks risque.

I agree with the consensus on #9.

I would think #4 would be better with the DOF reversed? But, maybe that is why I can't seem to improve on my creative DOF shots...

I do not like number 9. I can't imaging them liking it either, and it isn't your best work. I wouldn't have let them see it. But, that's just me.

In your number 8 shot, I like his facial expression a lot...he looks like he adores her, but the lighting and pose is not that flattering to your sister. The back lighting really accentuates the bag under her left eye.

I also think his facial expression ruined the last shot in your collage. She looks like she's in love, and he looks like he's missing the game. I'd take #9 out of the collage...it's sure not helping.

Facial expression is often...well, it's everything. People in love shouldn't look like they ate a lemon or have that deer in a headlight look.

I really like your number one shot...in fact, I went back and looked again and like all of your shots, except the three that I mentioned above.

    Just my humble opinion...

Thanks for all the continued comments everyone. I chuckle everytime I read a "I hate #9" comment.

your right though its a pretty horrible portrayal of love, probably wouldnt have showed if I didnt know him:D

I'll probably ditch it from the collage.

ED911 yeah I should fix that under her eye in #8, thanks

Jheyerck- do you you to MECA?

how about these of him at the same location?

love love love #1 - the disproportionate scale of the lighthouse made me stop, check my eyes, and look again.

    love #10 as well.
