Woot for cooperative models! Don't get that very often! This is my first attempt at high keyish portraits...How'd I do? I played with different lighting placements also.
CC would be great on these, it's 2:30 here and I just got done editing....would like some fresh eyes please :D

This is my beautiful sister Rachel. We really need to work on posing...

Taken with my new 60mm lens...I am so madly in love with it! I can only imagine what even better glass is like!

Thanks in advance:lust

You have the same luck I do sometimes.
    A good looking model.

I get what you mean about cropped fingers and such.

Just shoot plenty of them, and you are sure to get a bunch of good ones.

Now I am off to read about your new lens in the other thread.

Nice work all around, but I really like 1 and 10. Like the processing on 10 a lot too--really works for me. thumb.gifthumb.gif

Numbers 1 and 10 for me, in that order.
Nitpick: I do not like the black stuff at the bottom of #1. Perhaps it can be coloured white in pp?

#9 stands out to me. (All of them are very polished, good stuff)

#7 is a pose, angle and processing that you need to archive in your standard bag of tricks - that's a great "drama/actor/actress" head shot treatment.

Great job on most of these. I really like the lighting ratio you have. Wach out for posing ladies straight on. It makes them look bigger thru the hip area. (3-4-8) Turn them slightly and move the front leg across their body, this makes the hip broadness less. If you want to place them straight on give them some attitude. Kick out a hip and drop the shoulder on the hip side your kicking out. Gives it a neat look. No. 10 just grabs me. Gotta love those eyes.

I really love the detail of the eyes, and lips on the close-ups! Did you do anything special in PP?

thanks for the comments everyone! 1 and 10 are my favorites as well. Still need more practice to nail it but I was overall satisfied.

    Thanks for the tip Hackbone!

BroPhoto- Nothing special, did some minor skin retouching for pimples, lightened the background on some, then just basic sharpening/wb stuff.

Frewhl- yes it is! i didn't get the stains out yet but they are so small you can't even see them.
