I have two SB800s mounted on a Brewer Bracket, super clamped to the wall, bounced off the ceiling triggered with PWs set at 1/2 power
Hey Tim, how high was the ceiling and how high up were your lights? In my HS gym, I may be able to mount the lights on two convenient poles at the top row of the bleachers, but will this be too far from the action?
My guess is 28'. I often shoot this gym (if the mat is in the middle) with speedlights set at 1/4 power and mounted to the top of the bleachers. Just set the camera to 2 stops under ambient and tweak you flash until the exposure is dead on.

love the low angle....guess I am going to have to spend some time in the prone if I want to get these as well.....I embarass my son enough as it is.

I used bounced flash off ceiling. I'm just sitting on ground, I'm to old and decrepit to go prone!

Clipped somewhere and triggered via PWs or just an on-camera speedlight?

I figured. Unless the gym had a very low ceiling, this didn't look like a camera mounted strobe.
