What is splash delay under slideshow

Under slideshow setting, I played around with different figures but seems cannot detect any noticable difference. What is it?

It would not have any effect if you don't also specify a splash image - since the display time is related to the image shown.

Sorry for my ignorance. But I thought that is controlled under "slow, medium or fast" speed" ?
Splash delay is the amount of time you want the splash image to show. From the help, "amount of time to have to splash show in milliseconds". The splash image is the image that shows before the slideshow starts (if you have specified a splash image).

Don't mind another 2 questions:
1) I understand "Random Start". But what is "Randomize"
2) How do "Click to image" function?
