New Years Eve Fireworks (Melbourne, Australia / Post Your Own)

Happy New Year to fellow DGrinners..
I was in Melbourne for the fireworks on Thursday night which was a bad idea but decided to brave the drenching weather to see what we could get of the fireworks display. Below are some of my shots from the night. There is a 'family display' at about 9:15pm followed by the midnight ones from the CBD roof tops. As you can see on some of mine below, unfortunately the wind blew the rain in under the small umbrella onto the lens.
For those of you who were out elsewhere across the world to bring in the new decade and have photos to show off.. post them here.
If those of you with more experience shooting fireworks could post some hints of describe how you took yours that would be great too!!
