Some from this morning which are probably PJ rather than street (or a mix).

The local buddhist temple performs a ceremony at our Peace Pagoda to greet the sunrise every 1st Jan, this year I managed to get there to see it. There were 3 monks/nuns and 8/9 other buddhists in the procession. They are damn hardy as it was -2C (28F) when it ended.

As always C&C greatly appreciated.

Facing the rising sun.

You caught some very expressive moments, but I think you need to put a little more effort into the processing to add contrast and make the images pop. Just adjusting the white and black points will greatly improve things. deal.gif

    Thanks for looking

Three, four, and five are certainly the most interesting and/or amusing, because of the expressions and interplay you caught. I agree with Richard about your processing - these are quite flat and could do with some work.

Thanks for the feedback Richard. I see what you mean about the images not poping and have taken another run at them.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback B.D. I appreciate it. I have taken another run at 3,4 & 5 and processed them so hopefully they pop.

Nice, though as others have noted, all the original pictures could use some post-processing, which of course you have already done for some.

I especially liked #11, partly because I could read the characters on the instrument, which for my anyway gave it some context. Also, I liked the focus on the individual, enhanced by the blurring in the background.
