what a great morning!

Sunrise @ Bryce,

A Navajo man was there playing his flute while the sun was rising....
it made the event very special IMO

(I wished I had taken a pic, but I was doing brackets....)

here are some quick snaps of the morn (the rest are needing to be merged)(so maybe next month I will get to that task)

    #2 is awesome, Aaron!! clap.gif

So far my 2010 has been spent sleeping til noon, waking up with a raging headache, trying not to be miserable while visiting friends, napping and now watching Lord of the Rings until I'm tired enough to fall asleep! I think I would have preferred to start the new year your way!! rolleyes1.gif

Lookin' forward to the merged shots!

Looks like a great trip, bro!!

I spent the morning shooting back alleys with my son too!

Not quite as glorious as Bryce, but it was fun too.

Nice shots, Aaron, but I'm really jealous of the Navajo flute player--I love that music!!

Great start to 2010--I hope you get lots more photo ops like this one!

Great way to start the new year. Bryce is one of my favorite places to visit although I've only been there twice (a number of years ago). Your photos make me anxious to go back... soon. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is like deja vu...

I can't believe it's been a year already since I was doing the same thing with your lens.

Our family was going to Bryce and Zion for New Year's however we were snowed in an extra day in Northern Utah.

You probably ran into some Vegas friends who were there doing the same thing...

Anyway, nice images and now I'm jealous.

    Great looking set, Aaron! clap.gif

Winter time is the best time to shoot Bryce it seems. The shot of the "dude" is really cool. I bet he'd like a copy of that.

    Cheers,

however the light was quick and not much in the sky to help with drama, so photography wise you didnt miss much, but just being there wise it was great and you did miss outblbl.gif

Thanks Steph! and btw, I was talking to my daughter about the tradition and she pointed out that last year we went on dec 28th...and the year before that Jan 2nd, not the actual 1st, so not only am I lost, but I got the look from her that I must be losing my mind.... which I cant argue.....

anyway, it was great to be there! :D
