Seqrching for Keywords w/ less than 4 letters?

I thought I read the searching for keywords w/ less than 4 letters is now possible? If I use the standard search box on my site and do a search will it only return images from my site? Seems that it didn't used to...:dunno

The search on my "Search Page" is not the standard SM search. I added it using a hack.
Can the standard SM search find 3 letter words? If so will it search my site only? If so...
How do I add the search box in w/o the full SM header? Thanks
