NOTE: I've updated this and added some images below to the originals. What do you think of the new treatment for the heels and sneakers?
*************************************************************************************************

I'm working on following in Mom or Dad's foot steps. Do any of these ideas work? I haven't spent much time on the lighting or technical aspects....just trying to solidify the idea.

Please comment.

thanks, Chris

    Hi Chris,
Clever concept. My favorite is the first one as it conjures up safety and protection. It might be nice to put the heels together and perk up the laces even more. I think you have taken steps in the right direction (pun intended!)

Well, I guess I can cross the next idea I had off my list since you've just done it very nicely thumb.gif

I think I like the 3 and 4 the best, although the reflections from the table in 3 are distracting - a plain background would probably be more effective.

Scotty, thanks for the comments. I'll post some cleaned up shots (stuffed shoes, perky laces, etc.) if I get a chance to shoot tomorrow.

Divamum, my plan is to try a shoot with the Dad shoes on the gym floor. I was just trying out the concept on my kitchen floor. You are right that the chairs and table reflections are distracting.

thanks for your comments. I'll keep working at it.

I like the first one for the design -- great composition and lines which are visually pleasing. Also like the last one as a still life, although it might need some lighting work.

And you'll probably catch flack from some people for the plain black background. rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Mark, I want to shoot the basketball shoes on the gym floor, but haven't had access the last couple days. I have two bg in mind for the pink heels.

I wanted to run the concepts up the flagpole before I concentrated my effort on a concept.

    Thanks for the feedback....always welcomed.

I really like #6. One suggestion would be to number your images in these posts. Hope I counted right.

I like the composition, background and lighting in this one.

    Great job!

Dave, thanks for the reminder about numbering the images. Now that they are numbered, is it still #6 that you liked?

    Thanks, Chris
