Rushed fireworks picture

Living 15-20 minutes from Niagara Falls gives me lots of opportunity to watch fireworks. From my understanding 9pm and midnight every Friday night.
Well I was at the falls taking pictures of light display when these fireworks started right behind m and my 4 year old son. Not sure who was more scared, me or my kid
I know I recovered faster knowing what was going on though.
What I found most impressive is that a lot of the fireworks seemed to be just above eye level, instead of up in the sky.
Pictures were set up quick and some adjustments made on the fly, in camera composition could have been better and for the first time I wished I had wider than 17mm lens.
Anyways enough blabber and here a picture.
