created a link to a keyword gallery, and I'm noticing that it's sorting by date modified rather than by date shot... Is there a way to change this ? I didn't think that it was working this way before
unless by some freak chance I always processed and uploaded my pics in shoot order, but I don't think so..

Unfortunately there isn't really a way to sort the keyword galleries. They default to "most recent" and you can also choose to sort by "most popular". Using the "Most Popular" link will only work if the photos have been ranked.
Information on photo rank can be found here: http://www.smugmug.com/help/search-online-photo-album
You'll see the link for "most popular" in the breadcrumb. I'm sorry that we don't have a different answer for you.

Thanks Christina for replying..
Can you quantify what 'most recent' means ? is it based on upload date, modified date or the shot date or some other date ?
I've been referencing a specific group photos from my blog by based on all of them having the same keyword for a while now and hadn't noticed the sort order being out of whack before today.
thx for any more information you can provide.
brad.
Just checked my upload log, looks like the 'keyword' url posts the pics in the same order as how I uploaded them, at least this time it did.. wondering if the sort is based on the ImageID_key and not based on any date..
wonder if I delete them all, and upload them in order again ;-) maybe if I'm bored I'll try that.
I'd appreciate it if you know the answers to what my presumptions are that you'd reply..
thx
brad
