Problem uploading using default uploader

I have a weird problem.
Using send to smugmug,I am able to upload pics fine, but when using the default web browser uploader, I am unable to upload pics.
Now I am on windows XP with firefox 3.5
I tried 3.6 beta also.

The problem is weird because in the progress bar I see speed of 10Mbps, when my upstream is atmost 256-512kbps(torrents peak at this speed only, and so do uploads to other sites).

are you using AVG9 or any Proxy server? We often see this type of thing when a Proxy server.

No proxy, but I am using AVG Anti virus, is that what you mean?

Yep, we have seen that AVG active surf shield is causing problems with uploading. You may want to try turning it off.
