Looks like a cool trip. I haven't been up that way, but I'm always looking for new photo road trips from Tucson.

It's a nice area. I was on the East end of the wilderness area. Came in through Wilcox and then up through Klondyke. That section of Arivipa canyon is mostly controlled by the Nature Conservancy but just before the wilderness boundary you can turn South and drive up into Turkey Creek Canyon where I camped. Very remote and nice.
    Some shots from my campsite:

I knew he had to be on ExPo.

Nice rig OP and nice shots! Looks like a cool place. The only place i've been down to in Tucson is Chivo.

Thanks everyone. Yep that is me over on the EXPO forum. I'm hoping to get out to many new remote areas this year and work on my photography skills.

The trailer is an Austrailian King Kamper and is built like a tank with all the comforts of home when you get to your desitination.

It's has been justified for me as much as I use it. Nothing else made in the US that compares in durability and features. I can tow it almost anywhere my 4Runner will go on it's own. I try to go out once a month so in the 4 1/2 years I have owned it, it's already paid for itself in lifetime experiences and memories. wings.gif Those Ausies know how to design back country rigs.thumb.gif

Your welcome to come by and check it out anytime since you live here in Tucson.

I've been eyeing a rig far less nice as your @ Sportsmans warehouse...

what the going rate of your type of rig?

I bought mine from a Scotsdale dealer that was getting out of the business in 2006. It was his demo unit and I paid around $20K. Depending on the exchange rate with Austraila (not so hot now) it can either be a great deal, or way out of reach.

Their main website is www.kimberleykampers.com if you want to drool. They have a hard sided karavan that is sweet but I'd have to save more pennies and hope for a better exchange rate if I want to ever upgrade to that one.

There are thousands on the road in Austrailia but only about a dozen here in the US.

I do know a guy in Colorado that has one like mine that might be willing to sell. PM me if you get interested and I can get you in contact with him.

You would have to pry mine out of my cold dead hands. Laughing.gif
