Hi

Been meaning to try out the Animoto feature since it was released and just went to but I cant see an option to anywhere :scratch

Is it for Pro accounts only? Ive tried looking in the Buy option when logged in under my/owner account and am only given these options

I cant actually click into site backup - which is strange, probably have to look into that too. But can't see an option to get to a Buy button when im in the gallery I want to "animote".

Is there something I need to activate in the gallery / site settings beforehand?

Thanks

You get an Animoto link at the GALLERY level BUY link when logged-in, not from the Homepage level Buy link. I have a Power account and it works fine.

You only get the Buy button in a gallery if the printable property for that gallery is set to yes.

    Thanks Denise.

I remember switching that off by default. I think I done this because if it is set to yes, I thought that all of your photos goto a base catalogue or something? And anyone can buy them/you lose the rights to them? Is this correct?

If printable is on, yes, anyone can buy your photos. If you have a pro account, you set the prices and get a profit. If you have a power or standard account, the default smug prices are used (and you don't make any money).

You don't lose the rights from a copyright standpoint - they are your photos.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

I have a power account now, although I dont get any money off any sales - do I get notified if someone buys a print?

No. You only get notified if you have a pro account AND if your prices are set higher than the smugmug default prices.
