1. The birds were not amused with my slow setup time.

2. Some of them went out on limb for me.

3. Others went fishing instead.

4. But I did manage a few shots like this Chestnut-backed Chickadee.

5. And this Masked Duck

6. This Northern Gannet stopped by

7. Had to wait for some to get ready for the shoot.

And it looks like that first bird almost forgot how to fly...rolleyes1.gif

Beautiful set. It's apparent that it did not take you long to hit your stride. One day I want to get a shot like #3.

"Almost" is the key word here! :D

I gave my 40D to my youngest son for Christmas.....and am wondering why I did that.headscratch.gif I came of age with that camera (finally half-assed figured out what I was doing) and am going to miss it....at least till spring when I can get out with the 7D more.

Out on a limb and fishing are my favs from this fine group, Glenn. thumb.gif

Thanks Rainbow! I was lucky, as the location where I was shooting had about 5 Ospreys fishing.

Outstanding series Glenn and you got the best capture of that damned masked duck that I've seen so far. clap.gif

Sorry I couldn't join you while you were at Viera.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Ric! I still have my old 10D lying around. I even took some pics with it a few months ago!

I'm sure you have, or will get some excellent shots when the sun comes out again!

Maybe I'll catch you next time I visit!

Uh, no Glenn, you have not forgotten in the least. The Vermillion and the osprey action shot are incredible. I am glad to see you up to your usual stuff again. bowdown.gif
