Well, I just finished my second camp this summer. Two more trips and I get to take a break until next year.

Some friends of ours sent their daughter to camp and at the conclusion offered us their 2nd home on the Oregon coast. Uh, OK!

However, we are returning home due to the loss of a good friend who lost his fight with cancer.

With the bit of free time I have had I thought I would take some pictures. Boy the wind here is something. It blew my tripod over with my camera on top. So far everything is still working. Rats! I guess I will still have to wait for that new Canon.

Anyway, here is what I have so far. I hope to get some more up later.

Those are fantastic shots, Johno! I love the second one. It is different, yet lovely.

I saw these last night, was responding when my cable provider decided that 4 AM was time for me to go to bed. Totally cut me off.

I am sorry, still, about your whole turn of events this month. About your friend, I mean. It looks like you were blessed with highs and lows. Gorgeous country.

As I told my daughter, 37 yrs old and distraught over Harry Potter, I told her that she could discuss death with me, but as far as I am concerned, it sucks.

And I am going to start saying it. I am old enough to do that? Speak my piece..............and then what comes to mind is the phrase, "the peace that passeth all understanding". I am totally lost in understanding. I have come to the realization that loss is real, and I don't like it. I am sorry for your loss.

Last night, the song "Poems, Prayers and Promises" came to mind.
I just want to mention that.
