right clicking photos

When I signed up with Smugmug last year this was one of the things that I liked compared to when I was using Pbase. I didnt think their was any way that you could copy a pic but I just saw a pic that I shot at a race on someones Facebook page. :scratch Is their any way that I can prevent this?

Every computer in the world (probably) is capable of a screen capture. If it's on the internet, it can be copied. It's just a fact of life. Right click protection only temporarily deters someone from copying your photos.

this is not a smugmug versus pbase issue. Smugmug offers right click protection but as Steve said above, anyone can perform a screen capture.

RCP works when viewing photos on SmugMug. If you link a photo on Facebook, there's no more RCP.

But remember, RCP is only ONE part of image protection - and it's easily gotten around, as the other posters say. Also: read more-
