Nikkor 80-200 2.8/D - Who's used this for "people" work?

Howdy, howdy, howdy.

I love my 80-200 2.8/D Lens. I haven't been able to really utilize it as much as I've wanted to in recently on my digital bodies. The DX translation to 123mm-300mm makes it a different tool from what I'm used to on my F4/N90s. Which is more of my own mental block then anything else...

Anyway, last year, my sister-in-law was cast in a dinner theater play, and on a whim, I grabbed my D50 (the 200 wasn't charged, darn it...) and the 80-200 and went to the play.

The lighting was awful, and the D50 isn't exactly know for it's grace dealing with high ISO - however I bagged a shot that I was able to manipulate the red/green saturation out of, with some decent bokeh intact:

Seems to me that this snap shot didn't come out so badly, optically. So maybe, I've got a new use for this lens that I picked up for PJ work so long ago.

Does anyone have some examples of portrait work done with this lens that they could share? Thanks!

I have an old (really old) 80-200 push-pull (should be the same optics) and it is a fantastic portrait lens. I have used the lens almost exclusively outdoors as I have no room indoors for it so, even on a crop body, the focal length is very usable. The best part, though, is the wonderful bokeh.

These aren't professional examples but they might show some of the nice properties of the lens.
