This is part of the interior of a beautiful old former railroad station on the waterfront in Vancouver. Waterfront Station was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1910, and was the Pacific terminus for the CPR's transcontinental passenger trains to Montreal and Toronto until circa 1979. It is now a major intermodal public transportation facility.

(Enhanced HDR) C&C appreciated as always.

Buildings used to be built with such grandeur, I don't think present designers understand the concept.

Beautiful building and nicely captured Jack ~ Very interesting clock also

Beautiful scene very well captured, Jack. Your PP is perfect for this shot. Randy is right....that's a very interesting clock.

    Take care,

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Howdy Jack,

I agree with the others this is very well shot and presented.

I really like the perspective and composition and the inclusion of

    all the Architectural features.

    Very nicely done!!!
    Take care,

I really like this shot Jack! We flew into Vancouver last September and took the Canada Line train from the airport. I think this was the building we ended up in on the waterfront.

The interior of this building is absolutely cavernous. Even if you could find the architectural craftsmen to create this today the cost would be outrageous.

Nice capture, Jack! We all need to grab these shots when we can, to save some bits of history, right? Very nice execution with this one!

I agree with the others -- you captured this wonderfully.

All that moulding -- they don't build like that anymore :cry

This is a nice usage of HDR. Everything is clear and subtly enhanced without looking over-amped.

    Hi Rae
Yup that's how we found it as well. Vancouver is such a great city- definitely one of my favorite destinations.
