Nearly a week ago I bought Scott Kelby's The Photoshop Channels Book in the downloadable ebook version from Peachpit Press book publishers
http://www.peachpit.com/store/product.aspx?isbn=0321605020
The download link I was provided downloaded a file of 1.42KB in size! Not even the first letter of the title!
I emailed Peachpit. They replied telling me to contact another publisher, Pearson in the UK. I do not know, and Peachpit have not explained, why I should contact Pearson, what connection they have with Pearson, what the problem is or how Pearson can help. The telephone numbers they included in their reply do not answer.
Pearson is a very large company, and the contacts Peachpit gave me are generic, even if genuine. I can foresee a lot of wasted time and words before I got anyone who could help with my particular issue, if ever! I bought the product from Peachpit, and they accepted my money. If it is necessary for them to involve Pearson in honoring the deal, it is Peachpit who should be doing that work, not me.
What do you think? Anyone else had any experience with Peachpit.
I just hate this arrogant brush-off attitude from companies who readily offer products and take your money in a flash without any problems, but send you going from door to door begging for help to get what you paid for!
