I know I failed with my previous attempt an shoes, so I took some more shots today:

#2 Italian style



#3 Really cool!



Please tell me if any of these new ones are any better and worthy for the challenge.

Only thing I don't know about is the title.

#2 has an excellent composition and a great vintage feel with the processing.

i like #3 a lot. i think the background image adds interest. i like the close up crop too, but maybe you could include more of one of the shoes. maybe even just one whole shoe with the bg image cropped? was this in a store? were there other interesting shoes/images that you could experiment with?
the effect here is very interesting!

I really like #2! I would simplify the name to something like 'italian sweets' or 'italian danties' or something to that effect.
