Ypres - The Menin Gate (WWI)

A few weeks ago I was in Ypres to have a look at the Menin Gate Memorial. On this memorial are noted the names of 55000 soldiers who fell in the area around Ypres during WWI and who's body was never found. (Mainly english, scottish, irish, canadian, australian and indian)
It's in the middle of town so it's not easy to get a picture of the complete monument

A poppy placed next to a name by relatives. Probably their grandfather
Inscription inside the memorial
Every day at eight pm the "last post" is blown to remember those who fell during WWI. As it was saturday evening there was a crowd. At least 80% of them was english.

Like the way the perspective on the photo of the names make them seem to roll up to infinity, as do the gazes of the some of the crowd.
