I have a few more angles to work with as well. Thinking about maybe going out and getting a good mountain background to throw behind it.

I get it! A little more horizontal might work well here. And yes, a mountain background would help a lot.

I totally agree with a mountain background.

Did some PS work. How about either of these for a background? Any suggestions on making it more seamless? Still might shoot a mountain background to replace the blurred clouds.

Much better, but the gray on the left no... at least not as it is. Maybe if the lines where horizontal...
or maybe better a real sky...

Thanks for the input Tatiana. I'm planning on going to the canyons tomorrow for sunset, so we'll see if I can come up with anything good to throw in.

Yeah. I live so close yet I somehow rarely make it out to shoot them.

Is that a 5.11 move in the first photo?

Assuming you live in SL or Utah valley area I would think you could get a good rock/sky background shot easily instead of the grey/blue mix. Light up here (Park City/Kamas area) isn't ideal today but maybe a good sunset picture with the inversion happening down there wouldn't be bad later today.

These thoughts from a noob so take it with a grain of salt.

Well the handholds are quite good but they are pretty far apart so there is a lot of dyno involved.

Good thoughts, and I appreciate the response! I'm actually in SoCal, so we have canyons AND good light today . Unfortunately I might not make it out until sunset tomorrow (have plans for this evening that I had forgotten about), but hopefully I can grab something good at the last minute!
