These are excellent! I also went to your gallery and was impressed by the shots there, too.

My favorite is #5 with the player going against 3 defenders. BUT it looks like a "charge" to me... Your shooting angles look to be excellent as I like all of the shots displayed. Perhaps the last one feels funny because of its landscape orientation.

I am also impressed by the lack of noise at ISO 6400. I just shot some ISO 3200 with my 40D and did not like the amount of noise I encountered. Any suggestions/insights would certainly be welcome.

Great job and thanks for sharing!

Great shots!! I too am amazed by the low amount of noise, I suppose you used a cleaner on them?

    John,

I agree with the previous comments - very nice angles and great action as well. Where you sitting on the floor for many of these?

Also, I really love the colors you have - WB looks very good.

    Thanks for sharing these,
    Andy

Thanks Tim! All PP on these, including noise reduction, was done in Lightroom

Thanks Andy! With the exception of the last shot, for which I stood up, I was sitting on the floor for all of these shots......

Nice capture of the action but I think they could benefit from a little closer cropping. I looked through your BB gallery and most of the earlier shots are cropped much tighter than these. Gotta ask - why the difference? Different camera setup?

Great shots! Do you have a favorite spot on the court? One that you find gives you a good angle?

Also, what lens were you using for these?

Mike, I am not really sure what the difference is in cropping. I think maybe I left a couple of shots a little loose to make sure I had some of the backboard or net in the shot to give a little context. Very astute observation, by the way. Thanks......

I am typically on the baseline, close to where the 3 point line hits. These were shot with 70-200 f/2.8

These are very clean for ISO 6400, especially since the noise reduction in LR is really not fantastic. What camera body did you use?
