Hello. All my videos now display "Oops! The video you've requested was not found". This is not unique to one gallery, but all of them. The video all worked just fine the other day and is not specific to a type of video. (Different resolutions all won't play)

Example gallery: http://bensonphotos.smugmug.com/2009/Video/U2-Chicago

The site in general is not very snappy either. The last few weeks thumbnail previews are slow to show, if at all. Just a general downward trend on the user experience.

They are all there - why use the 'allthumbs' style when Thumbnails absolutely ROCK? ear.gif

When did thumbnails allow all pics to appear on one page? That limitation was the reason I had to stick to allthumbs in the past. I agree thumbnails now does rock.

It would be nice if the thumbnails always showed up. In a gallery with 40 pictures, I can refresh it and at minimum 1 picture won't show up. Refresh again and maybe it will show, but one or 2 new no shows will take its place. Smugmug has sucked at displaying pic/video thumbnails lately. The last few weeks have been awful.

And any idea why all my video disappeared for the better part of a day? Will it happen again?

I started experiencing the same problem with my newly uploaded gallery: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/10924789_dq9Yr

It is password protected. I was able to play only a single clip, for the others I get "oops! the video you've requested was not found". I checked the other galleries and they show the same problem.

If I remove the password then the videos do play, but I don't know whether it's related, or a coincidence.
    What is going on?

    Thanks!

Try setting the gallery with the password on but allow external links.

I don't want the videos to be accessible outside in any way. If this is a technical solution, then smugmug should be investigating it and applying it globally, across all the galleries.
I joined smugmug for its privacy controls and I'm unhappy with the situation now.

Sorry, at that time, i wanted to see if that worked. It is not the final solution. There is a bug and we are tracking it down so that it can be fixed. thumb.gif
