Image Display Issues

All of my images with black in them have some serious problems. It isnt in the original. It is consistently the same on each image no matter how many times it is refreshed.

It looks like crap.

Lots of things can cause this, I need a precise link to an image in question on your site so I can investigate.

It doesn't look that way on my iPhone but does on IE and firefox on three different pcs.

We don't alter your photos and we see none of these errors that you are showing in your first grab in post#1. I think either you've got graphics settings issues, or your ISP is compressing things.

I see the problem the OP reported using the gallery pointed to above on IE8 on Windows 7. I do not see the problem in Firefox or Chrome.

The problem is only on the SmugMug-style view. If I click through to lightbox there is no problem with any size of the same image.

Interesting, so I saw it too- in IE on the gallery page but not in lightbox.

I changed the theme (temporarily) to SmugMug Gradient. Do you or the OP notice any spots now on the page?

Maybe IE8 doesn't like something in the new theme (the shadowing).

Black, Black Curtain, Brown, Forest, Gray, Green, Olive, Pink, Pumkin, Steel Blue, Turqoise, white, wine, yellow, Brushed metal, Carbon fiber, Black wall paper, snowflakes, and many more. It appears that these themes do not even load.

it's really strange, I cannot replicate this at all, on our test galleries. Will keep trying.
