I've been having fun with these little Halo figurines, so I think I'm going to keep shooting them in different situations.

Here's them most recent:

Great idea! Maybe it's just my monitor but it seems a bit over bright. I brought the brightness down -35 and the contrast up +35 and it gave better flesh tones and more detail in the gnome's beard. Again it might just be my monitor though.

Perhaps a little bright, but not much at my end. I just recalibrated my monitor a couple of days ago and validated. Love the little drama you've laid out. Have you considered shooting from ground level with your WA to have an insurgent-eye view of the Bevo-Gnome?

Okay, I hear two voices when I see that pic.

    1) From one of the Travelocity commercials, the gnome saying, "Am I going to die?"

    2) From Spies Like Us, Chevy Chase saying, "Okay, stop right there, and I'll bring back the sun."
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

Thanks Jack! My monitor is a bit dim in general, so it might be a little bright. I remember thinking the histograms looked good, but I may go back and play with it.

Thanks Andrew. I did actually get lower, but the window in the back ruined the shot from lower perspectives.

Cute idea. I go along with the shooting from ground level and cranking down the saturation, though.

With a ground level view, the viewer becomes part of the picture.

Since the gnome is a UT fan, perhaps the next attack should be from "Big Al", the Alabama mascot.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have some from ground level and they just don't work. It was a friend's flower bed so I didn't want to go totally rearranging it to make the shot mwink.gif

Also, you will never find Big Al anywhere in my vicinity :D

Here's the aftermath, just for fun.
