yes, especially if you want to see military objects such as over the horizon radar station, etc.

Wow.... Fantastic travelogue. I didn't think they allowed anyone near the place these days (and especially not that close to the reactor). The abandoned, modern city was eye opener.

    Thanks for sharing.

There have been a couple of threads about tourism in the area on one of the motorcycle sites I frequent.

Your trip through has captured a lot the other threads have missed. Man the place looks desolate now.

Certainly one of the best posts I've seen here. Your BW images capture the essence of man's miss steps.

Thank you for your warm and kind words! I’ve received many questions regarding my photos and trips to Chernobyl. I'm sorry to say that I can’t send or publish higher resolution photos since I sold copyrights to most of my stuff to fine art gallery. But if somebody wants to take your own photos you can join to one of my future photo expeditions to Chernobyl! icon_smile.gif

These are pretty incredible. The second shot is museum/gallery material for sure. I'm not surprised you were able to sell them.

    wow!
Powerful stuff. I'd say the first two are great, but then again, so are all the other ones, and the ferris wheel on ...! Great work.
Do you perhaps have some images with some split tone processing? That might also work very well on these images, expressing similar mood, while showing some (no doubt grey-ish) colours. I'm thinking about processing with rusty red colours.

And I'm in italy , so if you're off to Ukraine anytime soon mwink.gifmwink.gif
Street & Portrait because of the people. Landscape because it's pretty.
Disappointed with AF of Tamron 28-75 2.8, me less happy.

I'm very late to the party but great shots! Prypiat has been on my list of places to see for a while now. I'm hoping to get there some day.

Well, I'm late to the party, but my sentiments are the same! Wow!!!

Amazing captures of an amazing (albeit depressing) place! I have to say that gas masks give me the creeps! There is a Dr. Who episode from several years ago that absolutely gives me the chills!

Well done, and welcome to DGrin!!! clap.gif
