This is my first post here. I usually post at DPreview and NikonCafe, but came here to see some of Harry Behrets recent stuff. I had the honor and privilege to shoot today with Harry at Viera. I know Harry from the old days at DPreview when I had a coolpix 5700. Harry had a Sony 909 I believe, or something like that, but I enjoyed his posts. We then moved to Nikon D100's and from there to the crazy gear we have now. Anyhow, Harry, me, my dad, and girlfiend braved the frigid cold down here to see what we can see. Here are a few shots taken with either the D300 or D2Xs, it really doesnt matter.
A Northern Shoveler, at least I think so..
Little Green Heron
a crappy immature eagle shot.. I underexposed by 1 stop and it brought out some noise in pp'ing. This was taken with the D2Xs, if it were the D300 it would not be as noisy
Still have more shots to process. A Snipe, a lesser bittern, some great blues..
I dont post much anymore, but Harry made me do it. That my story, I'm sticking to it.
Thanks for the great day Harry!

Andy, long time no see. How's the Big Apple doing?
I had a great time shooting with you and its great to see you posting on Dgrin. I hope you hang out with us for awhile.
To the rest of y'all, Harris is an outstanding shooter and a very good guy. I owe him big time because he was one of the organizers of the Ron Reznick workshop that I attended a few years ago. That workshop was the seminal moment in my development as a photographer.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Sorry I missed you
Will see ya in the spring...lolol

I see you have not lost your touch. About time for another trip to Ding and Corkscrew isnt it?
Really nice short-legged Green Heron.
