I would like to offer up the same as glu. Seeing as you have many locations you would like still and little time, I would be more than happy to take pictures at any of these locations for you. Just send me the plane ticket and information on my hotel, and transportation and im there.

I tried to convince Baldy of the same thing, they didn't send me though. :cry

Well it was worth a shot .
All these pictures are awsome! Especially Dani, AJ, and Ian but all of these are really good. AJ I've always liked your Rideau Canal shot, I'm glad you posted it here.
Best of luck to everyone who posted, you all deserve a round of applause.
Alaska in the fall...
Hardly the landmark that Denali is but still a gorgeous part of AK. These are the mountains near Alyeska Ski resort near Anchorage.
wow, these are some awesome shots. I especially love the one of Rideau Canal in Ottawa. I have 42 shots selected now, and I will see about making a gallery soon to show which shots I have chosen. So we are almost halfway there.
I am looking for more pictures in general, but in specific I am looking for Hawaii, SE USA, and anything cool international. But as I am looking for 58 more shots, don't be shy submitting any I didn't ask for.
Well, you know I am in the SE USA, Charleston, SC. With Ft Sumter (Civil War),
Ft Moultrie (Revolutionary War), and a large navy aircraft carrier at Patriot's Point, from WW2 (The Yorktown).
We have Morris Island lighthouse. Many churches. Old streets, houses, the ocean, Atlantic (pretty well known), etc.
I almost asked what you wanted a minute ago. If I were going to give you one re a war, such as in the first paragraph, I would have to shoot it this week. I don't do wars in my own personal life. But these are HUGE tourist attractions and a large part of history. Charleston was a major player in much of early American history.

St Michael's with the sun on it one afternoon. It is part of the 4 corners of law.
This is said to be the most European City in America.
PM me if you want something, very little of this stuff is out on my site. You can look at what is, but I don't appreciate the "well known" things in my city.
ginger (I saw the light on St Michael's and did like that even before I took the photo. Made it stand out from all the constant construction that also goes on constantly.)

SE USA - Does Key West, Florida, count? That's about as Southeast as you can get This is the Key West Lighthouse:
#5 Opal Range and Spillway Lake. Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada
#6 Moraine Lake. Moraine Lake is nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks (Wenkchemna Peaks) 15 km (20 min) from Lake Louise Village in Banff National Park, Canada
#7 Moraine Lake (2) Banff National Park, Canada
#8 Emerald Lake. Yoho National Park, Canada.
#9 Sunrise on Peyto Lake.Banff National Park, Canada (Peyto Lake, high above the Bow Summit along the Rocky Mountain Trench, is fed by the runoff from the Peyto Glacier which gives it the magnificent blue colour. Located between Lake Louise and Jasper on the Icefields Parkway.)
#10 Crowfoot Mountain. Banff National Park, Canada. (Early morning light on Crowfoot Mountain and Glacier looking south on the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper.)
#11 Takakkaw Falls. Yoho National Park, Canada.
Takakkaw Falls is the second highest waterfall in Canada.
Takakkaw means "magnificent" in Cree. And it is at 1250 ft (381.1m).
#12 Summer evening at the Castle. Banff National Park, Canada
This is Castle Mountain from the Bow River with late evening light.
Castle Mountain is halfway between Banff and Lake Louise along the Bow Valley Parkway. Named by James Hector in 1858. The mountain was named for its fortress or castle-like appearance. Despite the appropriateness of Dr. Hector’s name and the fact that it had been used for almost one hundred years, the mountain was renamed Mount Eisenhower in 1946 in honour of American General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during the final year of World War II. The decision to rename Castle Mountain was made by Prime Minister Mackenzie-King on the day before the President was to pay a visit to Ottawa. As much as Eisenhower was respected, this arbitrary decision so enraged the Alberta government that it immediately formed its own geographical names board. It took thirty-three years and an Albertan as Prime Minister before Castle Mountain regained its original name in 1979. As a compromise, the prominent tower on the southern end of the mountain was given the name Eisenhower Peak.

One of the most famous landmarks of the Canadian Rockies: Lake Louise, Mt. Victoria and the Victoria Glacier. This was taken in the early morning as the suns rays were working their way across the lake.
Hope that's not too many. I have a bunch from recent trips to both Italy and Budapest Hungary that I can post too, if you are interested.

those are gorgeous shots James! I haven't decided which ones to use yet, but I am definitely using a few.
I would love to see some of the shots from Italy and Hungary, as those are still places I am looking for. My own vacation shots from those places are embarrasing. :uhoh
Edinburgh
Though I submit this with trepidation after looking at all the incredible photos already posted, you originally mentioned Edinburgh Castle, so I thought I would fullfil that request
Well...maybe this time?
My shots never get picked for these things but maybe this one will pass muster..???
This was taken during our May 2005 Dgrin outting in Yosemite.
Because of the Yosemite shoot-out, I actually have my fill of Yosemite shots (especially because I am trying to spread the shots out over the whole world). However, I was looking in your galleries, and there are a few shots I love.
