Mitey Mite Ski Racing
It is nice to have another race season underway but it would be nice to have a little more snow on Mt. Hood. This weekend's Kandahar Kombi (combination of GS and SL) was run under very challenging spring conditions (thin base, lots of sugar snow) plus a very long timing delay before the race even began.
Despite all of that, it was great to be out taking photos again of these amazing young athletes. Here are a few of my favorite shots from race day. This was my first ski race with the D300 that I purchased last year.
Any comments and feedback would be appreciated.
#1 Heading to the lift to inspect the 1st run (sorry about the watermark in this one)
#3 My youngest
#4 She is the daughter of one of the coaches. Look at her go!
Again thanks for looking!

Thanks for the feedback. I want to see if what I think is wrong with the framing on the the action shots is the same as your opinion. The framing suffers in the others because they are shot against a pure white (snow) background. I have found that I prefer shots that have either the sky (preferabbly blue), the mountain, or trees as the background. Or are their other aspects to the framing that just don't work for you.
#5 is also my favorite from all of the shots that day.
Comments and constructive criticism always welcome.

Thanks for looking and commenting. It is amazing how good some of these kids are. They run circles around me.
