Changing thumbnail style

If I change all my galleries from "Square" to "Original" thumbnails, should all the thumbs be regenerated in the new style? I did this (using Gallery Settings, multiple galleries, with the "all my galleries" box checked) a couple of hours ago and I don't see anything different. Is there something else I have to do to get all my thumbnails updated? If not, shouldn't I see some progress by now?

Update: Never mind. Despite the warning on the Gallery Settings page that changing your thumbnail style may take time (which implies that it's actually going to do something more complex than just changing a stored option for future use), it seems that changing this option does NOT remake all your thumbnails. Instead, you have to select all your pictures as a group and select Many Pictures -> Adjust Thumbnails, then press "Select All" and "Original" (or whatever type you want) and Save. This did what I wanted.
