You don't need to activate anything for combined keywords to work. Can you let us know exactly how you added the keywords, including how they were formatted? You can reply here, I've subscribed to the thread, or to the help desk: http://www.smugmug.com/help/emailreal. If you write the desk please include this thread so we can add any pertinent info here if this is a bug.

Just a guess after taking a quick look at your site... are you trying to use keywords in password-protected galleries? It won't work.

If your galleries are public and non-passworded, you combine keywords with malte.smugmug.com/keyword/word1-word2

Wow that's totally not what I was thinking about. I thought you were referring to multiple word keywords, not related keywords.

    Thanks for the input Dave.

Malte I'll check for you if related keywords are supposed to work for you when logged in as the account owner when you have password protected galleries. Honestly you're the first person I know of that's asked.

BTW your keywords will not work for your viewers since it looks like all your galleries are Password Protected. When checking things like keywords always check logged out because they work differently for you when you are logged in and when you are logged out.

    Thanks guys!

I'm (painfully) aware that keywords don't work on password-protected galleries, but I wouldn't think it applies to me when I'm logged in. So yeah, that'd be great if you'd check that for me Glu! I am able to bring up all photos based on ONE keyword, but when I get to that page, the "combine with: +keyword" doesn't show.

OK, this works partially, going through a URL like that. When I put more than one keyword in a URL, I get the "remove keywords: -word1 | -word2" UI. But if I enter one keyword in a URL or go through the keyword cloud I don't get the "combine with: +word1 | +word2" UI.

This could be a problem of expectations.
