"View First Unread" on Safari

Does anyone know how to fix the "View first unread" link on Safari? It seems that on other browsers (firefox, camino, opera, IE on the PC), you click the link, the page starts to load, it waits to load all the pics and then it jumps to the new post.
However, on Safari it's broken. It first jumps to the new post but then if there are any pictures, those load and it pushes the new post down the page and off the screen.
