Dropped by Jordan for a 4 day trip recently, just posting some of the pictures I took:

Karak Castle was build back in the 12th Century by the crusaders, and was once besieged by Saladin himself. There are still some interesting carvings which are very well preserved.

Petra, of course, is THE attraction in Jordan. Fascinating how the acient Arabs were able to establish this city back in 6th (6!!) Century BC

Next we went to Mt Nebo, where Moses was said to have spent his last days overlooking the promised land

We also went to the Dead sea to do the compulsory "float on dead sea" thingy but i did not take many pictures there. Finally we visited the Church of St George in Madaba, famous for having "the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem"

Thanks for the compliments, I suppose the treasury is the most iconic and therefore most photographed subject in Petra. Hope to visit other wonderful cities/monuments in the middle east soon. :D
